My brother and I covered the “Gun Appreciation Day” at the state capitol in Austin Saturday. Good ol’ Sheriff Mack was there whipping the crowd into a frenzy. He had some great (though minarchist) things to say. While he may not hate the whole concept of a state across the board, he certainly seems to hate the top down federal police state in D.C. I’ll have a full video package later today, but for now here is a question I posed to Mack as an hors d’oeuvre.

I liked what Sherriff Mack had to say in the Guns and Weed movie. It’s reassuring to see that some in law enforcement can see the futility of the drug war. It’s pretty clear to me that he’s Minarchist and Pro-Constitution, positions that I think many people could understand. I just wish he could take those last steps to Anarchy! Still, I must give him credit for giving one of the better messages to appear on mainstream media.
I admire his motives, but the constitution has clearly failed in the past, even when governments would at least pretend to care about it. Now, it seems Obama and company see it as a series of loopholes that need to be closed.
